Chahine Fellahi is a Moroccan-French visual artist and filmmaker based in London. Her practice incorporates film, photography, and mixed media techniques, combining analog and digital tools. Her work speculates on the ontology of sense, addressing the notion of corporeality and contemplating the geography of the body, its landscapes and frontiers. Her expanded practice emphasises/stages crossings between abstraction and figuration in an attempt to rearticulate the relationship between visibility and invisibility, transparency and opacity, revelation and concealment. Experimenting with an aesthetics of affect, her current research investigates the conditions and possibilities of intimacy, exploring the potential of images to operate as sensual sites of intercorporeal and intersubjective encounters.
